Photocopies of typed transcripts of letters to Thomas's family. Letters recount his escape and travel to Louisville; his recapture; and his imprisonment at Camp Morton in Indianapolis, Sept. 1863. He also discussed the anti-Union sentiments in Indiana and Illinois.
