William Russell : miscellaneous papers, 1799-1812.

Included are two letters, 28 June and 14 Nov. 1799, to William Augustine Washington discussing the sale of land in Stafford County, Va.; and a 3 Oct. 1808 letter to Governor Charles Scott announcing the resignation of his commission from the Kentucky militia due to his appointment by the president to command a regiment of U.S. infantry, and commenting on militia officers to be considered for promotion; and an 18 May 1812 requisition for a bugle.
