Photographs 1922-1961.

This series consists of 486 black-and-white photographs from 1922-1962. They are primarily of Women's Missionary Society/United Lutheran Church Women (WMS/ULCW) general conventions. Convention photographs include new missionaries, promotional displays of programs and literature, missionaries attending the conventions, informal group photographs, honored guests, and convention sessions. There are several photographs of WMS/ULCW Executive Boards, although not every convention has a photograph of the executive board. Many of the photographs have identification and many list the persons featured in the photograph. There are no photographs for the 1932 WMS convention in Baltimore, Maryland. After the 1934 convention, the interval between conventions changed to three years. Many of these photographs were published in Lutheran Woman's Work, ULCA 29/8/1. The records are arranged chronologically.
