Lincoln Grammar School students' composition book : Oakland, California, 1891-1892.

Contains illustrated compositions about works by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and John Greenleaf Whittier, along with grammar lessons written by students in grades 6-9 at Lincoln Grammar School in Oakland, Calif. Each entry lists name and grade of student, teacher, and date. Compositions have both printed and original illustrations pasted-in. Also includes letter from Lyman Horton to his cousin, Lynma Horton Washburn, stating that the volume had been created by students of their uncle, Wallace Horton, who taught at Lincoln.
