Diagram of the prison drawn by Confederate prisoner P. Fullerton Willard in 1862. Displays location of the prison on the island, lay-out, sentry blocks, cell blocks, well, bakery, hospitals, and quarters. A note at the bottom of the diagram states that Willard was a 2nd Lieutenant in the 2nd Regiment of the Missouri State Guard and was captured at Kirksville, Mo., on 28 Nov. 1861.
