Collection includes photographs of James as a young man and as a congressman and senator; as permanent chair of the Democratic National Committee in 1912 when Woodrow Wilson was nominated for president; photos of the arrival of notification committee in Sea Girt, N.J., to notify Wilson of his nomination and of the notification ceremony in Aug. 1912 (James was chairman of the committee). Other photographs include a photograph of Woodrow Wilson, signed and inscribed to Senator James; a photo of President William H. Taft and Representative Ollie Murray James on a speaker's stand in Hickman, Ky., 1909; the House and Senate of the Kentucky General Assembly in joint assembly, 1912; crowd scene at a public speech in Frankfort, Ky., during the gubernatorial campaign of A.O. Stanley, 1915; and a photograph of the notification ceremony at Shadow Lawn, N.J., in 1916 where Woodrow Wilson was informed of his renomination as president.
