Letter 1908, January 20, New York City to Mrs. Anna Markham, Staten Island / Mary E. Burt. 1908.

She tells Mrs. Markham that she is moving to Brooklyn. Her new home has more rooms and is a much quieter area. Many of her Chicago friends live there. Like Mrs. Joseph Whitman and her son, Fred. She also mentions that printing has started on her new book. Mrs. Selfridge is going to take her old apartment. She says she is the daughter of General Phil Rearny, he died in the Battle of the Seven Rines. She loves the are and states that Mrs. Markham's brother dined here once. Here he met Nellie Howe and Mrs. Howes. The Howes and Mrs. Selfridge have offered to put Mrs. Markham up, if she ever stay in this part of the city.
