Robert Price Clark : papers, 1898-1899.

A collection of eight letters and two diaries of Robert P. Clark describing his involvement in the Spanish American War. Clark describes the battle and capture of Manila, 13 Aug. 1898, fighting with Filipino insurgents, the assault and capture of Iloila, 11 Feb. 1899, and battles near the city of Jaro. Clark mentions the beautiful scenery throughout his diary, his trip to Japan, and his return voyage. A commemorative muster roll of his company lists its members and the military actions it participated in during the war.
