Chiefly photographs of buildings, cars, store merchandise, and other property damaged during the Watts Riot. Most views include sequentially numbered placards placed in foreground of scene, apparently as part of systematic documentation of damage. Approximately 40 photographs, presumably taken by police photographers, document police activity, fire fighting, and arrests during the riots.
