Contains the following type of materials: photographs. Covers the following war: World War II (WWII). General description of the collection: The Franklin D. Roosevelt photograph collection consists entirely of Signal Corps photos. Other than a photo of Roosevelt as Assistant Secretary of the Navy, all the other photos cover him during his Presidency. The bulk of them deal with trips, receptions, etc., and most are from the 1941 to 1945 period. A large series shows many aspects of the Quebec Conference in 1943, and some are of the conference at Yalta in 1945. One folder shows photos taken during the funeral parade in Washington, D.C. About 40 photos in box 1 show public relations tours taken by Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt while she was First Lady, and primarily during the war.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt was born on January 30, 1882, in Hyde Park, New York. He was the son of James (lawyer, financier) and Sara (Delano) Roosevelt. He married Anna Eleanor Roosevelt on March 17, 1905, and had six children: Anna, James, Franklin, Elliott, Franklin Jr., John.
