Contains the following types of materials: photographs, photo albums. Covers the following wars: World War II (WWII), Korean War era. Contains photographs of the following military units and organization: 9th Infantry Division, 25th Infantry Division, Military Advisory Group in Korea (KMAG), 7th Corps, 39th Infantry Regiment. General description of the collection: The Halley G. Maddox photograph collection reflects mostly his service from WWII until his retirement. There are no photos of his West Point years and very few from 1920-1941. The early years show Maddox mostly with horses and equitation events. Many of the WWII photos show him with George S. Patton Jr. The post-WWII photos show Maddox in the various ceremonies, parades, dinners, receptions, awards, ceremonies and medal presentation of the general officer. There are good photos of his command activities in Korea with the 25th Infantry Division and KMAG.

George Smith Patton Jr. (November 11, 1885 – December 21, 1945) was a general of the United States Army who commanded the Seventh United States Army in the Mediterranean theater of World War II, and the United States Army Central in France and Germany after the Allied invasion of Normandy in June 1944.
