Correspondence, legal documents, bank book, ledger. Approximately 180 items relating to his work in Vermont. Ledger from his blacksmith business in St. Louis in 1816-1817. The majority of the collection deals with his work in the land office, but also includes topics such as national politics, the selection of judges, the Winnebago and Black Hawk Wars, and his general store business. Enos, Jr.'s papers include such topics as the Alton and Springfield and the Northern Cross Railroad, David Davis writing about new legislation for making, altering and changing the judicial circuit and the slavery issue. His bank book from 1860-1865. The collection includes letters from Ninian Edwards, George Forquer, Jesse B. Thomas, Sidney Breese, Daniel P. Cook, David Davis and John McLean.
