Of note are correspondence with the Daniel F. Tully Associates, designers of the Flynn Student Recreational Complex at Boston College, and photographs of Flynn with prominent individuals, including Jack Bicknell, Ed Chlebek, J. Donald Monan, S.J., Tip O'Neill, and Ronald Reagan.

Athletic director. William Flynn was born in 1915. He was a student athlete at Lawrence Academy and Boston English High School. Flynn earned B.A. and M.A. degrees in education from Boston College; he was also captain of the Boston College Football team (1938).
