Contains the following type of material: photographs. Contains photographs of the following military units: 4th Battlaion, 43rd Artillery Regiment. General description of the collection: The Bruce Palmer photograph collection covers only two incidents of the long and distinguished career of General Palmer. His promotion to general (4 stars) on 29 July 1968 is recorded photographically with General William C. Westmoreland and Honorable David E. McGiffert, Under Secretary of the Army officiating. The other group is Palmer's visit to Fort Richardson, Alaska in 1971, and his inspection of Site Summit, a Nike site near Fort Richardson, the facilities of Fort Richardson and a wildlife museum on that post. Many of the photos are duplicates.
