General description of the collection: The Russell McNellis photograph collection consists of photos of official activities of Brigadier General McNellis as chief of the Army Veterinary Service between 1960 and 1964. There are receptions, dinners, promotions, conferences and tours. The most comprehenvsive coverage is of a tour of veterinary facilities in Ethiopia in May 1962. Only three photos predate 1960, and one of those is of Germany Reichsmarshall Hermann Göring with his staff in 1943. There is absolutely nothing about his earlier career.
