Contains photographs of the following military units: 3rd Field Artillery Regiment; 3rd Cavalry Regiment. General description of the collection: The Alfred R. Kitts photograph collection consists mainly of a series of photographs of the funeral parade for the Unknown Dead of World War I, November 11, 1921. Both Navy and Army units are pictured, but only the 3rd Field Artillery Regiment and 3rd Cavalry Regiment are identified. It appears from other photos in this collection that the principal was a member of the 3rd Artillery Regiment. In addition to the parade photos, there are group photos of various batteries of the 3rd Field Artillery Regiment, some in parade formation and some in training exercises. There are also several long rolled photos of "Ladies Drill Society Circus Fort Myer, Virginia, April 4, 1923"; officers stationed at Fort Myer, Virginia, January 1924, and Battery D, 3rd Field Artillery Regiment, April 1922. There are postcards of German Army uniforms and of Camp Upton, Yaphank, Long Island, New York.
