Papers of William Henry Bishop, 1884-1893.

The collection contains manuscripts for "A Paris Exposition in Dishabille," with a lengthy description of the Eiffel Tower, 1889, and two pages from unidentified manuscripts. The collection contains six letters of Bishop to H.H. Boyesen, Oliver Bell Bunce, Houghton, Mifflin & Co., Joseph Marshall Stoddart, and a Y.M.C.A. Topics briefly noted include the dues to the Authors Club; proof sheets to new addresses; requests for an outline of a comprehensive course in Greek; and plans to remain in France. There is also an autograph inscription taken from a book [donated to the Y.M.C.A?].
