Shapiro Bruce Rogers Collection, 1895-1982.

The collection consists of two parts. Part 1: Papers of S.R. Shapiro includes correspondence, sales lists, financial records, and various printed matter, primarily catalogs and periodicals. Includes correspondence by Bruce Rogers, both to Shapiro and others, as well as drafts of writings by Rogers. Other Shapiro correspondents, primarily clients, include Henry Watson Kent, Rockwell Kent, and Stanley Marcus. Part 2: Books collected by Shapiro that were designed by Bruce Rogers during his tenure at the Riverside Press, 1896-1912.
