William Anderson Alexander (1889-1950) graduated from Georgia Tech in 1912 with a degree in Civil Engineering. After graduation, he became a mathematics instructor and assistant football coach under John Heisman. In 1920, he became head football coach, a position he maintained until his retirement in 1944. Harold A. "Dutch" Faisst was an outstanding Georgia Tech athlete, who played on the 1929 Rose Bowl football team.
