General description of the collection: A. Laflamme photograph collection consists of one large photo album containing 844 4" x 6" snapshot photographs of the activities of the 1st Cavalry Division in Tokyo, Japan in 1947. Laflamme must have been a boxer as many, many of the photos are of boxing matches and individual pugilists. Other photos are of baseball games and team photos, football games and individual players, the swim team and individual swimmers. There are numerous photos of training and marksmanship practice. There are photos of weddings and of officers and noncommissioned officers' (NCOs) wives. There are numerous photos of parades and reviews and medal presentations. The whole gives one a pretty good idea of what the First Cavalry Division in Tokyo was doing during the year 1947.
