Series 19 and 37 of RG 66-36 consists of payroll records of the Cleveland-Cliff Iron Company. Series 19 consists of time books (1868-71, 1885-89), offering name of employee, days worked, rate of pay per day and kind of worked performed. Series 37 consists of payroll ledgers (1865-68, 1886-99, 1909-15), offering name; occupation; term of service; rate of pay per day and month; amounts charged employee for store, board, rent, etc.; total amounts; remarks relating to payment; and name of witness to payment. Name index included within some volumes.
