Letters relating to the election of Miguel Ramos Arizpe as deputy to the Constituent Congress of the Mexican Empire for Coahuila : Saltillo, Coahuila : ALS and ADS, 1822.

Consists of four letters and one document regarding the appointment of Ramos Arizpe as Deputy to the Mexican Congress in 1822, which show the positive reaction of several politicians in Coahuila and record the progression of events leading to his appointment. One letter, Feb. 4, 1822, from Colonel Antonio Elorna to the Ayuntamiento of Saltillo celebrates the return of Ramos Arizpe from Spain. In two other letters, dated Mar. 2 and May 13, 1822, respectively, Ramos Arizpe accepts his election as deputy to the Congress, and his appointment is certified by Jose Ignacio Arizpe, the first alcalde of the Ayuntamiento.
