Negative taken for November 19, 1964, Arkansas Gazette article "An Inspiring Sight in Virgin Timber Preserve," B1:2. Mrs. Margie Bryant examines the Morris Pine, a 250 year-old, 130 feet tall loblolly pine on November 17, 1964. It stands on virgin forest owned and protected by the Crossett Division of the Georgia-Pacific Corporation, known as the Levi Wilcoxon Forest, in Ashley County. The only way to get a photograph of the top of the trees is to stand at the base and aim at the sky.
