Herbert photograph collection consists of photos that show the activities of the 109th Infantry Regiment, 28th Infantry Division from its basic training at Camp Livingston, Louisiana, to its service in the European Theater of Operations (ETO). One photo album deals specifically with the Camp Livingston training. Loose photos are of activities of the Medical Detachment in Europe and there are numerous postcard views in both England and France, including postcard views of the famous 28th Division parade in Paris following that city's liberation. Nothing is known about Rufus W. Herbert.
