Account book of Hananiah Parker, 1685-1796.

Original account book missing its cover. The earlier records date from 1685-1703 and concern money paid to various individuals and the purchase of nails, tobacco, indian corn, laying part of the meeting house, etc. There is a handwritten copy of a 1709 deed from Samuel Parker to his father Hananiah Parker. There is a 1731 list concerning "Payed to my daughter Mary toward her portion" followed by a similar account for daughter Rebecca. However, the bulk of the entries are by John Temple and date from 1749 to 1796. Temple's entries concern the sale of items such as cyder and corn and services provided like plowing, the use of his oxen, thrashing rye, the settlement of his father-in-law's (Ebenezer Parker) estate, etc.
