Contains the following type of materials: photographs. Covers the following wars: World War II (WWII), Korean War. Contains photographs of the following military units: 1st Cavalry Division; 2nd Infantry Division; 7th Cavalry; 9th Infantry; 19th Infantry, 23rd and 65th Regimental Combat Teams. General description of the collection: The Paul L. Freeman, Jr. photograph collection covers only three periods of his military career: WWII and the Bush Warfare School in Maymyo, Burma in 1941; the Korean War in which are found photos of various units, some very good typical shots of what would be visions conjured up of what Korea was like for the poor, cold, sodden GI, and some excellent photos of the terrain of the battlefield of Chipyong-Ni. The third body of photos deal with General Freeman's final years of service as a general officer attending social functions and a monument dedication in Korea.
