Contains the following type of materials: photographs. Contains photographs of the following military units: III Corp, I Corps, First Army. General description of the collection: The Thomas W. Dunn photograph collection is very illustrative of the latter part of Lieutenant General Dunn's distinguished career. There are some portraits of important generals from the 1950s, but the collection deals with General Dunn's command after 1960. Albums contain photos of each of his last four assignments and show many activities, presentations, receptions, etc. He was commandant of the United States (U.S.) Army War College at Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania (September 1960-April 1962). He commanded III Corps and Fort Hood Texas (April 1962-November, 1963). After that, he commanded I Corps in Korea until 18 December 1964, and lastly he was First Army commander of Governors Island, New York (February 1965-January 1966). There is another album commemorating the 156th anniversary of Mexican independence in 1966 and one showing Mexican generals visiting Fort Sam Houston in 1967.
