This record group consists of typewritten form worksheets (ca. 1920) recording information about Michigan men who died in the service of their country during World War I and were believed to have been compiled for or by members of the Gold Star Mothers, a patriotic organization. Offers name of soldier, serial number, rank, branch of service, name of parents, date and place of birth, date and place of military service, residence at time of enlistment, date and manner of death and place of burial. Content is not consistent.
