Oral history interview with Jimmy Austin, 1964 Mar. 3.

Interview conducted by Larry Ritter for use in his book "The Glory of their times: the story of the early days of baseball told by the men who played it". Jimmy Austin discusses playing with Willie Keeler and Kid Elberfield, along with the character and pitching style of Walter Johnson. As well as the alcoholism of Rube Waddell, and comments about Ty Cobb and Babe Ruth's personalities on and off of the field.
