Engineer miscellaneous photograph collection, 1941-1972.

General description of the collection: The Engineer miscellaneous photograph collection is a collection of numerous materials all relating to Army engineers that has been put together under one record group for ease of filing and cataloging. Portions came from numerous sources, most of them unknown. The bulk of the first two boxes contain photos showing Army engineer operations during World War II, mostly road and bridge building. There is one photo album titled, "Rhine River - Manheim to Bingen" depicting bridges that were reconstructed following hostilities. Another album contains photos of the construction of Normandy Airfield in January 1953. Four boxes contain photos of the 1950s to 1972 dealing with the personnel and training at the Engineeer School. Both indoor (class room) and outdoor (field exercises / training / equipment testing) are included. Another group from this collection consists of the Engineer Officer Candidate School (OCS) training.
