[Letter] 1848 August 19, [Culpeper] Court House, [Va.] to "Jack" [John Albert Broadus], University of Virginia / James M. Broadus. 1847.

Wrote "Catherine Broadus is dead. Lucy Ann is quite sick, altogether confined to the bed. Not dangerous, I hope. Sister Martha is again suffering that most awful and painfull affection which she has twice before endured-- an unparalleled anguish about her spiritual interests."
