[Letter] 1876 Nov. 23, to Jno. A. Broadus / Geo. B. Eager. 1876.

Writes "One of my dearest friends and brethren in the ministry ... is in a critical struggle of mind, and, I fear, in danger of making shipwreck of his faith. I thought I could detect an undoubted and decided tendency to Unitarianism." The unnamed minister had decided "to disavow fellowship and sympathy with our denomination ... go to ̲̲̲̲̲̲̲̲with the intention of originating ... the first Unitarian Church of the state." Eager has advised him "study the Bible, study it on his knees" and asks Broadus, "What else would you advise me to do?"
