He tells Mr. Markham about magnificent painting in the Church of Ascension. The painting entitled "The Ascension" by John LaFarge is an Easter painting. He has a photograph that he plans to reproduce it with Mr. Markham's Easter poem. He askes him to let them know when he is finished with his poem. He has no doubt that they can come up with some arrangement for printing them.

California poet. Raised near Vacaville, became a schoolteacher in Coloma and later in Oakland.
