Lilla C. Mills diary, 1875-1876.

The diaries have detailed descriptions of scenery, architecture and pictures. Vol. 1 covers the winter of 1875 (13 November) and 1876. Vol. 2 starts with spring 1876 (28 March). The couple left New York on the City of Richmond, 13 November 1875, going first to England (Liverpool, London), France (Paris, Lyons, Marseilles, Menton), Italy (Naples, Rome, Florence, Venice), Switzerland (Geneva) and back to England and Scotland, returning in June, 1876. Included are stamps from England, France, Italy, and Switzerland, and pressed flowers. Each shared in writing entries in the diaries.
