General description of the collection: The Thomas R. Yancey photograph collection covers the very diversified career of Thomas R. Yancey from photos of him at age 10, photos of him at Kemper Military School, his National Guard days as an enlisted man in the Missouri National Guard, through WWII in the Pacific with the USMC through the Korean War with the 15th Infantry Regiment, through his general officer years to the years following his retirement in 1967. The WWII photos with the USMC in the Pacific Islands are of especial interest. This is a great collection which follows a man almost thoroughly from birth to death.
