Raymond Quevedo, the son of a Trinidadian mother and a Venezuelan father, was educated at St. Mary's College. After leaving school he continued to educate himself by reading the literary classics. He later became a calypsonian, Atilla the Hun, who used the literary grandeur of the classics for his calypsoes.
