Buildings and Places 1965-1992 and n.d. 1965-1975.

This series is comprised of photographs of buildings and locations in Atlanta, the state of Georgia and the Southeastern United States. Most of the images are of buildings in Atlanta, including Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium, the Governor's Mansion, the Georgia State Capitol, Union Station, and Underground Atlanta. In addition, there are hundreds of aerial photographs of the skyline of downtown Atlanta, mostly from 1965 to 1975. Photographs of sites throughout the state of Georgia include images of Stone Mountain, the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers, Panola Mountain State Conservation Park in Stockbridge, and aerial views of Savannah, GA. Images taken from around the Southeastern United States include locations such as the Grand Ole Opry, Walt Disney World, and the White House.

Floyd E. Jillson (1926 - ) began work at the Atlanta Constitution in 1950. He worked in the News Department until 1955 when he accepted a position working under Chief Photographer Kenneth Rogers at the recently merged Atlanta Journal-Constitution Magazine. As Staff Photographer for the Sunday magazine, Jillson photographed people, places, and events that were featured in stories. Jillson retired from the magazine in 1992.
