[Letter] 1857 May 16, Botetourt Springs [Va.] to [John Albert Broadus] / C.L. Cooke. 1857.

Invited Broadus to a meeting of the trustees of the Hollins Institute, then wrote of an epidemic threatening the school: "Disease has again broken out among the pupils and all have left, save the four, who are sick. The teachers thus thrown out of employment, will doubtless soon leave the premises."
