[Letter] 1856 Oct. 1, Huntsville to J.A. Broadus / Jno. R. Gwaltney. 1856.

Writes about teaching school. "I find it goes very hard with me to sit in the room with the boys during the best part of the day. I have a lot of small brats who vex me no little. Thought I should be able to get along without whipping them, but I found it utterly impossible, so I have commenced trying the virtues of the rod."
