[Letter] 1856 Aug. 27, Alexandria to [John Albert Broadus] / J.M. Broadus. 1856.

Wrote of the death of his twelve-year-old son: "My dear boy Wilmer died today at 12 o'clock and feeling that no one will sympathize more faithfully and truly than you, I write you this morning, after having written only to Mr. Bickers [Edmund Bickers, husband of their sister Martha?] to arrange for the burial tomorrow."
