Included in the collection are correspondence, administrative files for radio show production, collected resource materials for researching and preparing interviews (photographs, brochures, flyers, newsletters, and publicity materials), periodicals, and posters. There is a collection of correspondence of Samuel L. Lewis. Also included are over 2,000 audiotapes of interviews. See archivist for complete list of audiotapes. Selected materials have been transferred from the Noffke collection to the New Religious Movements Organizations Vertical File Collection, GTU 99-8-1.

Will (William) Noffke, 1929-1997, was a radio show host whose work documents the cultural and religious changes which began to emerge in California in the 1960s. Between 1972 and 1990, he hosted radio shows on KPFA and KQED in Berkeley and San Francisco, California, interviewing the major leaders in new religious, human potential, and new age movements.
