Papers of industrialist and insurance executive Edward Atkinson of Brookline, Mass. include letters received from William Heath regarding business affairs, 1859-63; a handwritten copy of a speech discussing state and town government, 1882; typewritten memoirs; and a diary kept while travelling in Europe, 5 July- 18 Sept. 1881, describing his sea voyage from New York and places visited such as England, Amsterdam, and Italy. Collection also includes a typescript list (with annotations) of guests at the wedding of relative Mary Forbes Atkinson, 1923.
