Biographical note: The Silver King and Florence Telegraph Company was established in 1881 to operate a telegraph line between Casa Grande, by way of Florence and Pinal, Arizona to the Silver King Mine. The original directors were Aaron Mason, William E. Guild, A. Venton, J.W. Anderson, and George A. Brown. Daniel C. Stevens was president of the board of directors from 1894 to 1912.
