Administrative Subject Files 1932-1974 (bulk 1960-1972).

The files are a collection of administrative files generated by several individuals. These include Rolf A. Syrdal, Theodore P. Fricke, and Morris A. Sorenson, Jr., executive directors of the Division of World Missions. They also include Lowell Hesterman, Duane A. Olson, M. Douglas Swendseid, and Lester A. Dahlen, all of whom served as associate or assistant directors. Box 1 contains general correspondence and is separated alphabetically by name of correspondent or agency. Boxes 2-13 contain files on individuals, agencies, projects, and other church bodies, arranged alphabetically. There are several files each on the Lutheran Church in America, Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, Lutheran Council in the USA, Lutheran World Federation, National Council of Churches of Christ in the USA, National Lutheran Council, and World Council of Churches. Many of the records in box 5, Latin America, are written in Spanish.
