Box 1 comprises individual files on ecumenical bodies (Church of South India, Evangelical Lutheran Church in India, Federation of Evangelical Churches in India), sister churches (Gossner Evangelical Lutheran Church and Santal), institutions (hospitals and schools), rules, promotional plans, rosters, and statistics. They are arranged alphabetically by file folder title. Box 2 contains copies of material pertaining to the Hermannsburg Mission in India. These items were compiled by Hartwig Harms, a Hermannsburg missionary. The records, in German, are handwritten and typewritten histories, chronicles, and an index of items pertaining to the Hermannsburg India mission field, its stations and missionary Harms. These items were sent to the Rev. C.V. Sheatsley, Executive Secretary, India Section, 1930-1943.
