This record group consists of two sets of records from the Michigan Department of Military Affairs. The first set of records are the agenda and minutes of the State Military Board (1927-1967). Includes materials on acceptance of grants of lands by the Board, construction of armories, leasing of land for armories, approval of request for fuels by the armories, reports of active training days, and the administration of Camp Grayling. Minutes are incomplete prior to 1940. The second set of records are the State Naval Board minutes (1937-1967). Includes materials on construction and leasing of land for naval armories, request for funds for the maintenance of the armories, and reports of active training days.
