This series contains the biennial convention minutes of the Women's Missionary Society of the General Council (WMS). The minutes are from the first meeting held in September 1911 to the last meeting in Philadelphia in October 1917. They are handwritten minutes recorded in a bound notebook. The records are in good condition and fairly legible. Each set of minutes is only a brief record of delegates present, opening and closing services conducted, reports given by officers and standing committee chairpersons, correspondence read into the record, motions introduced and considered, and results of office and committee chairperson elections. The actual reports from officers and committees are not included in this series, but are contained in the series GC 14/4, Records. Within some of the pages are booklets that contain additional information pertaining to the conventions themselves. There is a convention supplement published in the Lutheran Mission Worker from the 1913 convention in Toledo, Ohio; a printed leaflet of the resolutions adopted at the September 1915 convention in Rock Island, Illinois; and what appears to be a portion of a program listing from the 1917 convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In the second folder are copies of resolutions adopted at the 1915 and 1917 WMS conventions, and a schedule of events from the 1913 WMS convention.
