Research materials, chiefly transcribed interviews, kinship charts, life history and participant observation reports, maps, and surveys, generated by University of South Carolina students enrolled in Anthropology 332T and 519. Research topics include the Columbia, S.C., Olympia community and the World War II generation. In addition to life interviews with Olympia residents are reports on Pacific Memorial Park, Whaley Street United Methodist Church, the effects of World War II on the University of South Carolina, and wartime experiences of South Carolina's African Americans and women.
