Contains the following types of materials: photographs, photo albums. Covers the following wars: World War II (WWII), Korean War. Contains photographs of the following military units: 560th Engineer Company; 47th Infantry Regiment; XVIII Airborne Corps. General description of the collection: The William F. Train photograph collection includes photos dealing with General Train's career after promotion to Brigadier General in APril 1955; a few photos in the 1930s and a few for WWII and Korea; most are of his commands in Germany and the Continential U.S. There are only a few dealing with General Train's years as commandant of the Army War College. Many photos of parties, socials, dinners, reviews and ceremonies as well as several fishing trips. Photos of General Train's wife and family; his son as a West Point cadet; photos of the social life activities of a general officer's wife.
