ArchivalResource

Minutes 1927-1961.

The records consist of minutes of the annual, biennial, and special conventions (called general conferences until some time in the 1930s), the Executive Council (called Executive Committee until 1944), and, after 1944, the boards of the church. They are filed chronologically. Beginning in 1939, the minutes were numbered consecutively, with the conventions and Executive Council minutes being part of the same sequence. With the reorganization in 1944, the numbering started again with number one. Board meetings were also numbered, but their sequence was separate from that of the conventions and Executive Council. The collection is missing minutes from 1932-1933, 1935-1937, 1940, and an occasional number is missing from later sequences.
